Ohhh Tooth Fairy...
Hailey lost her very first tooth tonight:):)
and she was soo excited over it too! We were all watching tv and it was bedtime so we told the kids to go bruch their teeth and all sudden Brad and I hear this high pitch squeal, we thought the kids were just playing and here comes Hailey running full speed into the livingroom with the biggest grin on her face. She sticks her face about 2 inches from ours and shows us...
after that she was ready to go to bed NOW because...
She has been waiting forever for a visit from the tooth fairy! We love you baby girl and now that you have lost your first tooth will you please stop growing up so fast on us:)

Girls day!
Hailey's Pre-K class didn't have school today but the rest of the bellevue schools did so we had a girls day at my house for some of her friends in her class. They all felt pretty special since all of them have siblings and all the siblings had to go to school today.
Jumping on the trampoline |
Good thing i never got rid of our old scooters:) |
I love that I am able to be home during the days with Hailey so i can spend all this time with her and let her have friends over. Next year's school year is going to come so fast and I will never be able to get these days back. I'm so thankful I got the opportunity to stay home and raise my children♥

Egg Hunt!
We took the kids to the rec center this weekend for the Easter egg hunt and lunch with the Easter Bunny. It's just a small egg hunt and activites inside with lunch. I think the kids favorite part about it all was the face painting station:)
Once we got home we surprised the kids with our Easter present to them...a new trampoline, last august we had a really bad storm go through our backyard and it picked up our trampoline and threw it over the fence and into the neighbors pool. The trampoline is the one outside toy that both kids really like and use all the time, so that was their gift for this easter

Date night
This date night didn't involve me though, it was a Hailey and Daddy's date night:)
When Hailey was alittle younger her and brad would do a date night about once a month, with our schedules getting busier with sports and Brads work schedule always changing they really haven't had many chances to keep up with them. But Hailey loves this time with her daddy and still talks about them. So we are going to be making time each month and having a day where they go out together and me and Caiden will be able to go out together too. They have "their" restaurant...Arby's which is hays favorite and then usually they do a movie or shopping just something they can both do together.
This past Friday Brad took her to her first build a bear workshop and then took her shopping for her Easter dress, I gotta say i think I'm pretty lucky because most dads wont do the holiday clothes shopping or spend 2 hours in a store picking out the perfect outfit for a new teddy bear named princess Lexie:) or spend another hour in the fitting room finding a dress for her that matches princess Lexies lol... i really hope these are memories that Hailey will remember with her dad for always, she's a lucky little girl too:)
Hopefully throughout the years the dates nights are something that never go away, this time is so important, a time for him to be just one on one with his daughter, to let her know that she can always confide in him and that no matter how busy the schedule gets he will always make time for her because as girls get older it's much harder to talk with your dad because you think he just wont understand the way a mom does, but I hope that by keeping this close relationship she will know that he is always there for her and he will always make time for her no matter what.

Spring in finally here:)
I am one of the few people who doesn't mind the change in weather that we get here in Ohio, yes i do complain when it gets too hot or too cold but for the most part i love the change of seasons. I love the snow (not necessarily how cold it gets or that the roads get icy) but i love taking the kids out to play in it, building snowmen and sledding. But after so many months of cold weather I'm ready for spring. We can open the windows and play outside again without bundling up. Today was one of the first really nice days, we couldn't believe how warm it got so quick. We took the kids to the reservoir in norwalk and all wore shorts and tee shirt in March!
We've been taking the kids to the reservoir since caiden was 2, they have 3 different parks that you can walk to and the kids love throwing rocks in the water. It's a good way to get in some exercise without the kids even knowing it:)

State Placer!!!:)
What a weekend of wrestling we had!
This weekend was the OAC state wrestling tournament. This is Caidens 3rd year wrestling and his 2nd time making it to state. We got a hotel for the weekend and stayed with the rest of the team, went out to eat the first night down there to Quaker stake and Lube, the kids had a blast! All our wrestlers got up in front of everyone for Karaoke night and sang and danced for hours. I love that these boys can be soo good at the sport that they love but also know how to still have fun with each other and not let their nerves get the best of them. They all got to sleep in the next morning and didn't have to be to the tournament until noon.
Caiden had to start the day off with a really good, tough kid who has already beat him once this year but he still gave it his all and fought to the end but ended up losing. (This kid he started the tournament with ended up winning it all with 1st place) He had one more match for the day to see if he would stay or go home and he won so we made it to day #2:)
Because of his loss in the first match he had to win his next 3 matches to place then from there he had to wrestle to see what his placement would be. Not only did he win his next 3 matches he pinned all three kids in them...
knowing that he had for sure placed at state took alittle of the edge off and we could relax and breathe alittle more now...at least I could....Brad was another story lol.
He ended up losing his next placement match and got 8th place for the weekend. We are soo soo proud of him and all his determination this year. He placed 8th out of every kid his age and his weight in all of Ohio. Hundreds of kids go to districts, then from there only 4 from each district make it to state and from those 20-30 at state he was a placer! Caiden is such a fighter, as we are standing there getting his picture taken on the podium he looks at me and says...I'm so happy I placed but next year, I'm gonna be higher up on this podium<3 p="p">

Leading by example
I overheard Brad and Caiden talking yesterday and Brad was telling him that he was taking me out on a date for valentines day because that is what you do for your wife when you grow up, he told him even though your married you still go on dates and tell her how beautiful she is...i only hope he watches and takes Brads advice because someday he may make his wife as happy as Brad has made me♥

Bellevue Wrestling Tournament
Caiden placed 2nd today at our bellevue tournament. He went 2-1 with 2 pins. He wrestled his but off and fought hard. He pinned the first two kids he wrestled and then for the championship match he ended up having to wrestle a kid who was like 40-0! and he hung in with him all three round but still lost. Win or lose he wrestled hard and was in it to win it today and it showed. He had alot of family members there cheering him on today and we are all so proud of how far he has come with wrestling this year. Keep up the hard work bub:)

Grandma Rees made it to almost every tournament this year,
Thank you grandma for all your support♥
Love that confident smile

STATE BOUND!
Caiden has had an amazing wrestling season so far this year and just to add to add the trophy's and pins so far he has now made it to state. So while most other kids are ending their season and practices for the year Caiden along with 11 other Team Ray boys are kicking it up a notch and getting ready for the state tournament.
State Bound Boys
State Bound Boys
These boys are gonna flex some muscle at state this year:)
I love that they can be so focused and determined but also still know how to have fun with this sport, because it can be a tough one emotionally and physically.
My Stud!!!
I hope he knows how proud of him we are for making it this far, it's a huge accomplishment and not many 9 year old boys can say they've been to a state tournament...but Caiden can;)

Finally some snow:)
So far this winter we haven't had much snow so the first time that we got some here in the end of January we had to bundle up and go take advantage. Both kids got new sleds for christmas and Caiden still has his snowboard from last year so they were both praying for a snow day to break them in.
He made it all the way down the hill standing. He loved that alot of older kids around were watching and asking him how old he was because they couldn't do it and were amazed;)
Taking a break!
She kept trying to go over a ramp that some older kids made...such a little dare devil.
They only lasted about an hour before they got too cold and wanted to head home, although i think it had more to do with the hot chocolate waiting for them at home:)
