Pumpkin Patch

We stayed at my sister Hollys house this past weekend and took the kids, Caiden and Hailey and my nephew carson who just turned 3 to the pumpkin patch. We usually take the kids every year to one around here but since we were there for carsons birthday we decided to all go together. I really like the one we go to here, Burnhams Orchard, it has hay rides, corn mazes and other things for the kids to do. This one that we went to in columbus ws okay but seemed to be more for younger children, there was no corn maze and the hayride wasnt much of a hayride but in the end the kids had fun and thats all that matters:)

Hailey always cracks me up, she can never keep her eyes open in the sunlight

...but now i see where she gets it from, obvisouly i cant either lol

After we got home from there we started carving our pimpkins. This is something that i love doing with my kids and hope they will enjoy it enough to do it with theirs when they are older. It is one of my favorite childhood memories and really enjoy sharing it with my kids. ♥

Happy 4th of July

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July. I know we did!

Caiden was on a float in the parade this year. He loved it, his favorite part was throwing the candy to everyone! He was on the float with all of his cousins (well actually my cousins but there closer to his age) Here is a picture of all of them, the two girls on both ends of the top row are my twin sisters.

The girls on the left end of the bottom row are twins too! They run in my family, there are 2 more sets of twins but they couldn't make it.

After the parade we all went back to my aunt house and went swimming and had a cookout. I think i'm still in a food coma from all the food there! Caiden wore himself out swimming and had to show EVERYONE there how he can dive now. He had fun.

This was Hailey's first time watching the fireworks and i couldn't believe how much she liked them. I remember Caidens first year we had to leave the area because he was so scared of them, but she was pointing to them and clapping and smiling, i caught her expression during the grand final...

Isn't that adorable. She was so good all day and even took a 2 hour nap (i couldn't believe it, i had to keep checking her to make sure she was okay)

I hope my children remember these childhood memories forever!

Fireworks

Every year this weekend our town has it's annual community days festival. It's not much but the kids love it! They have a whole kid zone set up for them where they have big jumpy things, obstacle courses , face paintings and more.

We took the kids there this weekend and of course i forgot to charge the battery for my camera so i don't have any pictures to show of it, but it was fun! It went on friday and saturday and then saturday night at 10:00pm they had the fireworks. We always have them this weekend instead of July 4th (which is kinda nice cause then we get to take the kids somewhere else on the 4th to see them, they like that they get to watch them twice)

We had all planned on going to them but at about 9:20 Hailey fell asleep and was out! So Brad stayed home with her and i took Caiden by myself. He did some sparklers before the fireworks started. I have different setting on my camera and one of them is for fireworks so the pictures turned out so cool...

This one is caiden swinging his sparkler around and around.

This was the finale. Caiden's favorite part!!!

Brad called me right after they were over and told me that they scared the crap out of Hailey. We live right down the block from where these were set off and she woke up SCREAMING!! Poor thing, she had no idea what was going on, but we got her settled down and she's back to sleep now.
